You are obligated to make monthly payments for your Domestic worker every month, to the UIF and COID. You need to provide a comprehensive payslip and submit monthly paperwork.

Your monthly requirements as an employer of a Domestic Worker are:
- Providing a timeous monthly payslip which includes all requirements such as UIF, COID, job description, overtime worked plus rate, UIF number etc
- Providing arrear catch up fees to be paid. The interest being 10% plus 9% penalties.
- UIF deductions which are paid over to the UIF monthly by yourself as the employer
- COID or Workman’s Compensation
- COID submissions every year before the 1st of April
- Employment Contract
- Monthly submission of a UI 19 declaration, as well as a salary schedule to the UIF showing current salary, hours, overtime etc.
- Adherence to basic Labour Law
- Catch-up of all outstanding returns, irrespective of the time-period.

You have a choice whether you would like to pay over the monthly UIF payment yourself or include this with your payment to us. We will transfer the amount to the UIF and supply you with proof of payment should you prefer this option.
